RETURN TO LOVE
When time is near to disappear
And memory to go
And egoistic dreams are now
With little left to sow
Prepared am I to view once more the
Memory of all
Restored once more to total Love
No more to know the pall
SMILE DAMMIT SMILE
With lips turned up at the corner
Or perhaps with a furrowed brow,
Will the effect that occurred in an instant
Be remembered from then ’til now.
Which will be remembered
My smile or my glare
Will the furrows in my forehead
Be remembered first and always
By those who’d swear that never
Was my smile even there.
Was my smile even there?
