Worry not about crumbs

MUD PIES BOY
P
hotography by SANDRA SCHOU

Worry not about crumbs; they’ll become something new.

Fret not about loss. Nothing  ever will be.

Forget about Forever. You are living it.

Employ the vision of the inner eye.

What shall you change?

What must be altered?

Behold….

The Artist.

WHEN COWS FLY (DID I GET THAT RIGHT?)

lee_broom

When birds fly, when ants forage, when religions are born, when governments collapse, there is a principle involved; it has nothing to do with education, intelligence, with social history or for that matter, any noticeable measure of sanity. It is present in all group activity. It requires only the most basic instinctual fragment of decision-making. The leader of the pack “says” North, South, East or West. The pack members notice only the constituent to the left or the right and follow the observed movements. With starlings it is called murmeration. With cattle it is hanging out with the herd. With bees it is buzzin’ aroun’with yer buddies and with people it is the nod of a hundred heads to the command “Let’s get’er done.”

CURIOUS ABNER’S CON

Curious Abner thought awhile,

(A while is all he had.)

The moment seemed to last forever,

(Forever’s not so bad.)

After all, thought Curio,

It only takes an instant

To contemplate creation,

How far is near or distant?

(To contemplate or “complicate”.)

He wondered with a grin

Content and yes, quite satisfied

With this intellectual spin.

While rolling in the aisle.

Curious Abner thought awhile.

(A while is all he had.)

( A while is not so bad.)

HI, HOW ARE YA?

Lee_Broom

HI, HOW ARE YA?

When I turn to God and say “Hello” and He answers “Hi, How are ya?”

I  look a little closer; Who will he be tomorrow?

Today he may be Clara, tomorrow perhaps Claude

The next day may be Manny; yesterday was Maude.

I really don’t know What or Who or even When or If God Is.

What I do know is that when I call on God I find Love.

When I Accept that Love I find Knowledge.

When I apply that Knowledge I find Friendship.

When I share that Friendship I discover more Love.

MEADOWLARK HILL (I’VE GOT MY LOVE TO KEEP ME WARM)

2 21 2013 The Tree

That one lone tree on Meadowlark Hill
The song its tenants sang
The laugh and coo of newborn tots,
reflecting yin and yang

The memories are distorted
the silence now a roar
I left; here’s what they told me
return some day for more

More is what I needed
more became Amor
Emotion came to greet me
My heart began to soar

Amor became commitment
commitment to the Source
The Source became the Doorway
revealing an Inner Force

One day I’ll want to visit
pay respects to Meadowlark Hill
And mingle with the Tenants
as through open beaks they trill
And remind me of the joy I found
That day on Meadowlark Hill.
