THE SEVENTH DAY

THE SEVENTH DAY

If you think that God should be doing more; IF IT ISN’T  ENOUGH that god’s Love cures all ills, consider the possibility that this is the Seventh Day.

The First Six Days took Millions of Years. God’s Day of Rest on the other hand is Forever.

It has been said that if this is acceptable to us that we may then live in God’s Timetable; The choice is hours; a few more minutes; or Forever.

HI, HOW ARE YA?

lee_broom

HI, HOW ARE YA?

When I turn to God and say “Hello” and He answers “Hi, How are ya?”

I  look a little closer; Who will he be tomorrow?

Today he may be Sandy, tomorrow perhaps Claude

The next day may be Betty; yesterday was Maude.

I really don’t know What or Who or even When or If God Is.

What I do know is that when I call on God I find Love.

When I Accept that Love I find Knowledge.

When I apply that Knowledge I find Friendship.

When I share that Friendship I discover more Love.

THE HATER

EASTER

THE HATER

SUBJECT: HATE

A: THERAPEE (the hater)
B: THERAPIST

A therapist friend of mine told me that I was a real hater. She said that I use the word “hate” frequently.

A: And you think that makes me a hater?

B: Well, yeah. Why else would you say it? Didn’t you tell me a few minutes ago that you saw a film last night that you really loved?

A: Oh yes. It was a wonderful movie, a great story; I loved every minute of it.

B: Loved? Or Liked?

A: Oh, well I guess I liked it a lot. I see what you mean.

B: Dontcha just hate it when that happens?

WHO AM I?

IMG_0001

Who am I,

He wondered at ten

And who will I become

Will I be famous

For what he bethought

Will I still be My Father’s Son,

And why am I here by this bubbly brook

With a squirrel and larks nearby

He mulled and decided

If asked oft enough

That one day

He’d surely know why.

He flew the coop they’ll

One day say

He flew

After

Waving

Goodbye.

We thought we saw him

Up high in the clouds

He flew and

He flew and on

He flew.

He flew

After

Waving

Goodbye,

To return

In the

Nigh and nigh.

MY SHOES DON’T MATCH

MY SHOES DON’T MATCH

My shoes don’t match
I said to myself
Observing one black and one brown.
One pointy toe
The other a moc
I noticed as I sat down.

I remembered a time
In Pershing Square
An orator holding his own
The end is nigh
Beware my friends
Repent before heading Home

Is he right I wondered
My shoes don’t match
I’d found them a moment ago
I repented not
They felt warm and snug
I left them on my toes.

My shoes don’t match
I said to myself
Observing one black and one brown.
One pointed toe
The other a moc
Each slipped over
A woolen sock
The time was passing
Tickety tock
A smile replacing a frown;

I have another pair just like these
And they are my very own.

STORED AS NAUGHT FOR ETERNITY

MUD PIES MAKE MY DAY

STORED AS NAUGHT FOR ETERNITY
Everything from When to Where
Everything seeking safety,
Moving along at top-top speed
Speed up please-Move faster
Moving along to the very next  thing.
Everything with a song to sing.
Every dong resounding a ding.
FASTER – FASTER – FASTER.
Our greatest gift Motivates us all,
Terror it is –  Terror ’tis called
Move aside please; your engine stalled
See what you started Master?
Everything from When to Where
Each of us seeking safety,
Stored forever – Eternity,
BANG removed from  memory.
We must avoid disaster.
Echoing  Reality
Stored as Naught for Eternity
What is that I see up there
High above the rafters?
Excuse me please –  I can’ t quite see

What oh what am I after?
